Several years ago, a few friends were working for a major healthcare manufacturer. Over time, we grew increasingly frustrated with the quality of soaps and body products being produced, marketed, and sold. The products felt uninspired—weak scents, short shelf life, and filled with unnecessary additives.

So, we left “Big Soap” behind.

Our mission? To create soaps that were cleaner smelling, longer lasting, and stronger—yet still gentle on the skin. We combined the highest quality ingredients with the most talented soap artisans and relied on traditional cold-process methods (with a few modern tweaks) to craft a better kind of soap—one worthy of America’s finest.

It wasn’t long before we were brewing and bootlegging our soaps for friends and family. Like the secret passwords and hidden doors of 1920s speakeasies, our soaps became a worst-kept secret. Word spread, and Bootlegger Soap started barnstorming across America.
